How to Hack Your Brain to Improve Focus
Did you know you can hack your brain to increase productivity?
There are plenty of brain hacking benefits, but when it comes to improving your focus, the biggest one is obvious – you’ll be able to get so much more done during the day!
Read on to find out three simple things you can do daily to make the most out of your day!
1 – Set up your work environment
Setting up a work environment – different than the one you live in – will get you in the work mode faster. If you don’t have the space for it, even a small corner in your living room will do.
Also, don’t be scared to introduce some morning rituals that will sharpen your mind before getting down to tasks. For example, you can start by pouring all of your thoughts out on paper or meditating – preferably both so you get a clear state of mind.
2 – Identify & eliminate distractions
No mind hacks will ever be enough to improve your focus unless you learn how to eliminate distractions.
Distractions can be literally anything. All the way from never-ending emails & push notifications to your neighbor practicing the piano, they’re the biggest threat to your concentration!
The best way to deal with distractions is to see what’s bothering you the most and then act accordingly. For example, some people are extremely triggered by noises. In this case, wearing a pair of noise-canceling headphones might help!
3 – Repeat daily
The brain is like a muscle. The more you train it to stay focused, the better you’ll become at being focused for longer periods of times.
Start with staying focus for 15-20 minutes at a time and then slowly increase. Within a month, you should be able to focus for an hour at a time without a headache.
For the most optimum results, you may want to introduce a variety of different brain hacking techniques in your daily life as well – talk about being unstoppable, huh?
In the end, don’t forget: We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, it’s a habit!
